Flea & Tick Season is Here!
Protect Your Pet from Pests. We strongly encourage all of
our customers, especially those who board and do daycare on
a regular basis, to have their pet on a monthly tick and
flea medication. There are several options out there for
this but be warned, they are not all equal. The only
medication that we have found to work effectively for a
month are Frontline, Advantage, Revolution, and prescribed
pesticides. Please do not use flea collars or cheap knock of
drops that you can find at the grocery store like ”Hertz” as
the collars are toxic if ingested and both do not kill flea
eggs or larva.
We now offer FRONTLINE Plus monthly drops for dogs only. We
will apply a monthly treatment on your pet for you.

Last Minute Boarding Requests
We understand that sometimes
customers have to board their pet’s last minute. We would
like to ask that if you need your pet to be boarded for that
same night to please give us a call as early as possible,
preferably before 3:30pm. Because our Bark Hotel is at a
different location from the daycare, we have to arrange
transportation for them. Of course as always, we understand
that you don’t always know ahead of time. We will always do
our best to accommodate you in this case. Also, daycare
package day may not be used towards boarding. You must pay
per night but no days from
your daycare pack will be taken off. We also offer pre-paid
boarding packages you can buy in advance.
Monthly Vaccine Requirements
Bark Avenue has strict policies on required vaccines in order to participate in daycare and boarding. Our requirements are as follows: Bordatella every six months, Distemper/Parvo every year, and Rabies every year. We will make exceptions for owners whose veterinarian has directed a different vaccine schedule.

Our clinics are always on
Saturdays between 3:30 and 5pm. There are no appointments
and there is no exam fee to receive vaccines. You may
request a physical examination as well as several different
services such as micro-chipping, fecal exam, and many more.
The next clinics are: MAY 28TH AND JUNE 25TH.
Non-Anesthetic Dental Clinic Now Offered Every Three Months
Gentle Pet Dental will now be coming to Bark Avenue every three months instead of every month. Our next clinic will be from 10am until 5pm Saturday June 4, 2011. You must have an appointment. $25 deposit required.
